Kate Christein began doing yoga about 10 years ago— through videos and the sporadic class— but her practice really flourished since 2013, after beginning to take classes regularly at West End Yoga and eventually completing her 200-hour yoga teacher certification. Initially, yoga was a way to stretch and tone and to support other hobbies like running, but it eventually became a way for Kate to learn to navigate the challenges and stresses of daily life with patience, compassion, and ease by cultivating a connection to self that had been lost or forgotten for many years.
Kate is passionate about sharing the power of yoga to promote flexibility and an open heart, both with respect to the physical body but also with respect to how we move through the world and relate to others. Her style is a thoughtful vinyasa flow with a focus on strengthening mind and body, integrating creative themes, and weaving in a hint of philosophy.
