Prabha has been practicing yoga for 10 years and teaching for the last five of them. Yogic awareness came to her as a result of her heritage but she got into the physical practice of yoga only in her 40’s. As she delved into it more, the layers started unraveling and the journey continues. She truly believe that yoga is a lifestyle that each one of us can benefit from, regardless of shape, size or physical limitations. She has trained in the Eastern tradition of yoga at Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, a University in Bangalore, India. She has also completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in Western tradition of Vinyasa Flow with Dolly Stavros in Charlotte, NC.
Prabha believes that learning is a lifelong process and is continually seeking to better herself by attending workshops and classes with other teachers. While continually learning from others, she believes Yoga is a very personal experience and her classes are tailored to the practitioners needs. Yoga is an integral part of upholding a holistic lifestyle and consistent practice can lead the practitioner to not only physical ease but also mental calmness and spiritual growth. All Prabha’s efforts are dedicated to funding the Pratyush Sinha Foundation, a nonprofit foundation that strives to empower under privileged children.
